Mission to Khofar and the death of a Jedi team
A team of Jedi arrived on Khofar for Master Kelnacca, but he was killed by the mysterious Sith known as the Stranger, after which nearly every member of the team died in the fighting except Master Sol.
Description
After the murders of Masters Indara and Torbin, the Order realized that the next target would be the Wookiee Kelnacca, who had lived for many years as a hermit on the planet Khofar. A team of nine Jedi led by Master Sol set out to save him; the group included Knights Yord Fandar and Sen Bennex, Padawan Jecki Lon, as well as the Tynnan tracker Bazil and the former Jedi Verosha Aniseya. The Jedi arrived too late: Kelnacca had been killed before they got there. At his refuge, the team encountered a Sith hiding under the moniker of the Stranger — he turned out to be Qimir, who had earlier posed as an accomplice of the assassin Mae-ho Aniseya. With a single Force push he scattered the Jedi and then killed them one by one; Jecki Lon and Yord Fandar died trying to cover the retreat. Only Sol, Bazil, and Verosha survived. In the confusion of the fight, the Aniseya sisters switched places, and Sol took from the planet not the sister he believed her to be, which predetermined the subsequent events on Brendok.
