Two fighters set out for a city of casinos in search of a codebreaker able to stop the enemy from tracking them through hyperspace.
Description
The pursuit of the Resistance fleet through hyperspace was conducted from the Star Dreadnought Supremacy, and the chase could be stopped only by disabling the tracking device. Finn, who had previously served on First Order ships, undertook to identify the right component, and the mechanic Rose Tico proposed a plan for getting aboard; Poe Dameron approved the plan. The obstacle was the constantly changing access code. Maz Kanata, unable to help in person, pointed them to a master codebreaker who was to be found in the gambling city of Canto Bight on the planet Cantonica and identified by a red flower on his lapel. Finn, Tico, and the droid BB-8 reached the casino but were arrested by the police for parking in a restricted area. In the cell they met another codebreaker, who called himself DJ. An escape through the sewers and the stables led to a stampede of racing fathiers, which wrecked the casino; they managed to leave the planet in a stolen yacht. The participants' account later formed the basis for a description of the war profiteering of both sides.
