Hera Syndulla

Hera Syndulla was born on Ryloth to General Cham Syndulla and Eleni Syndulla; her brother died in childhood, and she herself witnessed both the devastation of the Clone Wars and Imperial rule on her home planet. Having become a skilled pilot, she left her father's Free Ryloth movement and set out across the galaxy to build her own resistance aboard the ship Ghost. She was joined by the Jedi Kanan Jarrus, a survivor of Order 66 who became her beloved and the father of her son, as well as Sabine Wren, the Lasat Garazeb Orrelios, the droid Chopper, and the Padawan Ezra Bridger.

Their actions on Lothal drew the attention of Senator Bail Organa, who was bringing scattered cells together. Syndulla joined the Phoenix cell and came to lead it; she expanded its forces, found allies, and established a base on Atollon. Grand Admiral Thrawn located the base and defeated the rebels, but Syndulla, her comrades, and some of the ships managed to escape.

Her unit then joined Massassi Group on Yavin 4 and later returned to Lothal to liberate the planet.
