Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

Description

Yoda: Dark Rendezvous is a novel by Sean Stewart, first published by Del Rey on November 23, 2004. The book is part of the Clone Wars multimedia project, which brought together novels, comics, and animation devoted to the events between the second and third episodes of the film saga. An abridged audio version was released simultaneously with the book; the unabridged audiobook was released in January 2024 as part of The Essential Legends Collection series.

The story takes place during the Clone Wars. Master Yoda receives word of an opportunity for a personal meeting with Count Dooku, his former apprentice who has become the leader of the Separatists, and sets out, aware that the offer may turn out to be a trap. The young Jedi accompanying the Master occupy a significant place in the book.

The novel belongs to the Expanded Universe and is now counted among the Legends. Along with Matthew Stover's Shatterpoint, it is part of a small body of Clone Wars-era novels focused on the inner life of the Jedi Order.
