Description
The Fallen Star is a canon novel by Claudia Gray, published by Del Rey on January 4, 2022, as part of the multimedia initiative Star Wars: The High Republic. The book is a direct sequel to The Rising Storm and concludes the main line of adult novels in the initiative's first phase.
The story takes place in the High Republic era, when the Nihil marauders are once again trying to cut short the Republic's golden age. At the center of the narrative is Starlight Beacon, a symbol of the Republic's aspirations in the Outer Rim and a hub of culture and knowledge that takes in refugees and victims of Nihil attacks. The characters include the Jedi serving on the station and its crew.
The novel is closely connected to the novels of Charles Soule and Cavan Scott, as well as to the comics and young adult books of the first phase, and serves as its climax before the initiative moves on to its next phases.
