Star Wars: Rebellion

A comic series from Dark Horse Comics whose first issue came out on April 12, 2006, and its last on August 27, 2008; sixteen issues were published in total. The series was a direct continuation of the title Star Wars: Empire and was structured as a sequence of story arcs: “My Brother, My Enemy,” “The Ahakista Gambit,” “Small Victories,” and the concluding issues of the Vector crossover. The writers were Rob Williams and Jeremy Barlow, and the artists included Michel Lacombe and Colin Wilson.

The story is set shortly after the Battle of Yavin, roughly nine months after the events of the first film. The focus is the everyday war of the Rebel Alliance: alongside Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Wedge Antilles, and Darth Vader, considerable space is given to characters introduced back in Empire: the Imperial officer Janek Sunber, the communications officer Jorin Sol, and the volunteer Deena Shan.

The series was put on hiatus in 2008 to make way for a monthly Clone Wars comic and was then canceled; its final issues became part of the cross-series crossover Vector, which linked four different eras of Legends.
