Description
Justice is the second episode of the animated anthology Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, released on Disney+ on October 26, 2022. It was directed by Saul Ruiz and written by Dave Filoni, the creator of the entire series.
The short story belongs to the Dooku half of the season: its central characters are Jedi Master Dooku and his Padawan Qui-Gon Jinn, sent on a mission to a remote world of the Republic. The action takes place decades before the events of The Phantom Menace and shows the Jedi Order in the service of the Senate at a time when Republic institutions are already losing touch with the outlying planets.
The episode continues the theme of Dooku's growing doubts about the structure of the Republic, which runs through several installments of the anthology, and adds to the backstory of the characters of the prequel trilogy. The animation is done in the style of the series The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch.
