Description
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a live-action miniseries created by Lucasfilm for the Disney+ streaming service. It ran from May 26 to June 22, 2022, and consisted of six parts. It was directed by Deborah Chow, who had previously worked on The Mandalorian.
Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen returned to the roles they had played in the prequel trilogy, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. The story unfolds ten years after the events of Revenge of the Sith and nine years before A New Hope, at a time when the Jedi Order has been destroyed and the survivors are being hunted by the Empire.
The project was originally conceived as a feature film and only later reworked into episodic form. It explores Kenobi's years of seclusion in detail, shows the work of the Imperial Inquisitors, and connects the prequel trilogy to the original trilogy.
