Scoundrels

Scoundrels is a novel by Timothy Zahn, first published by Del Rey in early January 2013. The book is written in the heist genre and is often described as an Ocean's Eleven-style story transplanted into the Star Wars universe.

The story is set in the Age of Rebellion, shortly after the events of the film A New Hope. Han Solo, who has just played a prominent role in the destruction of the Death Star, is left without his promised reward and with a large debt to Jabba the Hutt. A mysterious stranger offers him a part in a risky job that promises enough money to pay it off. Together with Chewbacca, Solo assembles a team of specialists.

The novel belongs to the Expanded Universe and the Legends continuity. It continues Zahn's long-standing interest in the heroes of the classic trilogy and stands alongside his books Allegiance and Choices of One, devoted to the same period of galactic history.
