A remote agricultural moon in the Outer Rim. Only the area around the single large settlement, where Selda's cantina operated, was suitable for tillage; the rest of the surface was occupied by rocky outcrops and desert hills with caves. Among the inhabitants were humans, Rodians, Sullustans, and Togrutas.

A year after the Clone Wars, the former Padawan Ahsoka Tano, working as a mechanic, moved here under the name Ashla. Soon the Empire occupied the moon in order to grow nutritional plants for rations: the Imperial official Jenneth Pilar chose Raada precisely for its remoteness and small population.

Ahsoka urged the inhabitants to resist, but objected to the most extreme methods proposed by some of the farmers. Returning a few weeks later, she organized the evacuation of the population with the help of Bail Organa's forces; in the battle that followed, rebel pilots in starfighters destroyed the Imperial crops. The refugees were placed in a camp on Alderaan, and the moon was left deserted.
