Brendok
Profile
A lush green world outside the Republic, long believed in the Core to be uninhabited. The planet is covered with mountains and moss forests, and two moons rise above it. Its revival after a catastrophe was believed to be linked to a Force vergence. A coven of witches lived in an ancient fortress on Brendok.

Description
Brendok is a planet in Wild Space about which little was known for a long time. During a phenomenon called the Surges, around 232 BBY, the world was stripped of life, but by 148 BBY life on it had inexplicably been restored.
An expedition of Jedi led by Master Indara was sent to discover the cause of this revival; what had happened was linked to a vergence in the Force. On the planet the Jedi encountered Mother Aniseya and her coven of witches. The resulting conflict led to the destruction of the coven; the surviving Verosha Aniseya was taken in by the Jedi Order, while her sister Mae-ho swore vengeance on all the Jedi involved in what had happened. This oath determined the events that unfolded decades later on other worlds.
