Belderone

A terrestrial planet in the Belderone system, in the sector of the same name at the junction of the Outer Rim and the region known as the Slice. The world lies in grid square R-6 of the standard galactic grid, on the Salin Corridor route between the Trogan and Columex systems.

With the beginning of the Empire's rule, a naval base and the deep-repair dock Facility RM-4 were established here. Serving on Belderone was considered unattractive: soldiers understood that they were being sent as far as possible from the capital. Since the Salin Corridor and the Tion Cluster were patrolled less heavily than other approaches, cottage industries catering to treasure hunters developed on the planet, as on some neighboring worlds.

In 14 BBY, when Berch Teller's cell stole Tarkin's corvette, the dock at Belderone was listed among the strongholds; Carrack-class light cruisers, two Victory-class Star Destroyers, and the Venator-class Star Destroyer Liberator were stationed there.
