Black Sun

The largest and best-known criminal syndicate of its time. The organization entangled the entire galaxy in its connections, from the Core to the Outer Rim, and penetrated political, business, and social circles, including the Galactic Empire, local governments, corporations, guilds, and even the Rebel Alliance.

Below the head of the syndicate stood nine Vigos; the word meant “nephew” in Old Tionese. Each of them controlled his own territory and sector, had his own assistants and confidants, and ran affairs in his own way, and the total number of the organization's subordinates ran into the tens of thousands.

The syndicate existed for more than one century. During the Galactic Civil War it was headed by Prince Xizor, under whom the organization rivaled both the Empire and the rebels.
