Destruction of Abeloth

44 ABYExact dateLast checked: 23 October 2026

The entity Abeloth was weakened and destroyed in three simultaneous battles: in the Jedi Temple, on her planet, and beyond the shadows.

Description

By the time of the climax, Abeloth, an ancient entity of the dark side, was acting not only through her own power but also through her ability to divide her essence among several bodies and to seize the bodies of others. On Coruscant she was hiding in the guise of the head of state of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, Rokari Kem, while covert control over the capital was exercised by the Lost Tribe of Sith, which also held posts in the security services. The Jedi began a covert infiltration of the planet to free it from this influence: groups disguised as ordinary passengers passed through checkpoints run by the Sith and eliminated the opponents who unmasked them. Luke Skywalker, his son Ben, and the Sith apprentice Vestara Khai, who had come over to the Jedi, operated as a separate team. Abeloth could be destroyed only by blows struck simultaneously in several places, since her divided essence allowed her to be reborn. The climax also proved a shock for the Order itself: the truth about embodied darkness affected even its understanding of the nature of the Force.
