Description

Frozen in carbonite, Han Solo was handed over by a bounty hunter to Jabba the Hutt and placed in his palace on Tatooine as a trophy. Freeing him required infiltrating a fortified residence guarded by numerous guards, mercenaries, and a beast kept in the dungeon. His companions acted one after another and covertly: first one of them established a position in the palace disguised as a servant, then the droids were delivered there, and a participant disguised as a bounty hunter got inside, presenting Solo's companion as a prisoner and gaining access to the carbonite slab. The first attempt to get Solo out failed, the participants were captured, and the Hutt sentenced them to execution over a desert pit. The rescue took place during the execution itself, on a barge above the pit, where the condemned killed the guards and destroyed the vessel. Solo was saved, although after being thawed he remained temporarily blind. Jabba's death destroyed his criminal clan and weakened the influence of the Hutts on Tatooine, and Solo himself soon returned to service with the Alliance on the eve of decisive action against the Empire.
