End of the Beast Wars on Onderon

The Beast Wars grew out of the order established on Onderon after the fallen Jedi Freedon Nadd took the throne. The walled city of Iziz protected its inhabitants from predators that crossed over from the moon Dxun by an atmospheric bridge that formed once a year, and criminals exiled beyond the walls were doomed to die among the beasts. Some of the exiles survived, tamed the predators, and became beast riders, whose raids on Iziz started a war lasting about four centuries. By 4,000 BBY the confrontation had intensified, and Queen Amanoa turned to the Jedi Order for help. Master Arca Jeth was appointed watchman of the system and sent his students to the planet: Tott Doneeta and the Qel-Droma brothers. The kidnapping of Princess Galia by the riders and her marriage to Oron Kira, son of the beast lord Modon Kira, revealed the main thing to the Jedi: for centuries the ruling house had fed on the dark side and the will of Nadd's spirit. The climax came when Amanoa turned dark powers against the newcomers and lost Nadd's support. With the queen's death, the feud ended, the throne passed to Galia and Oron Kira, and Iziz and the beast riders were united.
