Capture of Master Arca Jeth
Warning: this entry reveals minor plot details.
King Ommin captures Arca Jeth, hoping to turn the Jedi to the dark side.
Description
After the end of the Beast Wars, the Jedi led by Master Arca Jeth decided to deprive Onderon of its source of dark power and to remove the sarcophagi of Freedon Nadd and the late Queen Amanoa from Iziz. The funeral procession, held under the new rulers, Queen Galia and King Oron Kira, was attacked by several hundred Naddists under the Sith acolyte Warb Null, who used an underground war machine. Having seized the remains, the cultists retreated into the city's lower levels. Arca Jeth, Ulic Qel-Droma, and Galia descended after them, searching for King Ommin, who lived beneath Iziz. He turned out to be the leader of the Naddists: when the spirit of Freedon Nadd appeared, Ommin captured the Jedi Master while Qel-Droma fought Warb Null. The Jedi and the beast riders had to abandon Iziz and fall back to the Kira fortress. While Ommin tried to turn his prisoner to the dark side, Ulic Qel-Droma requested help. Opinions in the Senate were divided, but Master Thon persuaded the senators to intervene, and Republic cruisers with Knights from Ossus arrived at Onderon. A combined strike made it possible to free Arca Jeth, and Ommin's death ended the uprising.
