Founding of the Krath society
Satal and Aleema Keto found a secret society that studies Sith artifacts.
Description
The society was founded by bored heirs of the Tetan nobility: Satal Keto, heir to the throne of the Empress Teta system, and his cousin Aleema. They took the name from Krath, a wizard-god from the fairy tales of their childhood. Their interest in the ancient Sith was awakened by lessons about the Sith Empire and the Great Hyperspace War; in search of more, the cousins stole a Sith tome from the Galactic Museum on Coruscant but were unable to read it. News of dark adepts on Onderon brought them to that planet during the Naddist uprising, where they received texts, artifacts, and instruction from King Ommin and the spirit of Freedon Nadd. Nadd became their teacher and quickly led both of them along the path of darkness; in particular, Satal obtained a translator talisman that made it possible to understand writings with the help of the Force. The knowledge they gained turned a circle of aristocrats into a real force. In 3,997 BBY, Satal and Aleema carried out a coup: Lord Keto was encased in carbonite, opponents among the nobility and the guilds were eliminated, and the former organs of government were replaced by the rule of the cult.
