Interrogation of Rey on Starkiller Base

Captured on Takodana, Rey was brought to Starkiller Base, where Kylo Ren intended to extract from her memory the missing piece of the map to Luke Skywalker's location. The interrogation was conducted by means of the Force: the prisoner was immobilized in an interrogation chair. The plan backfired on the interrogator. Rey not only withstood the pressure but herself penetrated his mind, discovering there a fear of never measuring up to his grandfather, the Imperial enforcer Darth Vader. Shaken, Ren left the room to seek guidance from Supreme Leader Snoke. Left under guard, Rey used a mind trick to bend to her will the stormtrooper posted to watch her, and he released her. Returning to find the cell empty, Ren smashed the interrogation room with his lightsaber in a rage; a passing patrol chose to back away. The prisoner's escape deprived the First Order of its only source of information about the map.
