Xizor

Xizor belonged to House Sizhran and headed Black Sun as its Underlord. His headquarters was on Coruscant, where his own palace stood not far from the Imperial Palace — less lavish, but emphasizing its owner's standing far from his native Falleen. In high society he presented himself as a courteous and influential man, while remaining a ruthless operator.

After the Battle of Hoth, Xizor was considered one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy: his wealth rested on criminal enterprises, and his business dealings connected him both with the Empire and with other syndicates, including Jabba's Hutt cartel. In the shadow of the Empire, he waged a bitter rivalry with Darth Vader and hoped to win the Emperor's favor by killing Luke Skywalker.

It was this obsession that destroyed him: Princess Leia Organa infiltrated his palace on the capital world, and the ensuing battle at the orbital skyhook Falleen's Fist ended with the prince's death on Vader's orders.
